Catching up.......

So I thought my initial blog post got deleted and it took me a while to get it going and figure this blog thing out!  So I decided to look on here today and what do you know......it was saved under drafts!!!!!  So here is what has happened since May.......

Went to Houston for two weeks.  Kirby had her first flight and did GREAT!!!  Matt got to spend some great time with Kirby this summer, then it was back to work LONG LONG hours for football season!  We lost our first two games and then won our third game.  We have another game this weekend.....so let's hope for a "W".

Kirby and I are headed to Houston next week for about a week.  We are going for my step-brother's wedding!  Can't wait!  I started making bows....for Kirby and to sell!  So far so good!

Kirby-she now sits up by herself, is just about truly crawling.  She is scooting EVERYWHERE!  She is eating rice cereal and pretty soon we will start her on real food.  My plan is to make it all......we will see how that goes!  Seems simple enough!

Here are some pics to "catch up" with what has happened.....I will get better at doing this and try to do it regularly!

Kirby Claire Mattox ~March 19, 2012~ 8.1 lbs~ 12:52pm

Well friends and family, I am finally going to try to blog to keep everyone up to date.  Especially those who do not have Facebook as I normally post a lot of pictures there!

Giving birth to Kirby was an amazing experience.  Sure some of the pain was no fun, but once I got the medicine and took a nap, I was good to go.  As soon as she arrived and they said- "It's a Girl!!!!" my heart just melted.  I think a quick glimpse of all of her life flashed through my mind.  Of course, I didn't let her high school days flash through my mind!  Matt was nervous but once he got to hold her, I think he fell in love!!

When we got released from the hospital, we drove to our old house to drop off the keys.  :( We loved that house, but we are so thankful that it sold fast!  Then off we drove to Coffeyville in the rain-our new home.  It was about a 2 hour drive and Kirby did great.  She slept the whole time!  We got home and Mom and Ray were already here and had done a little cleaning and getting prepared for Kirby to come home.

Here are some pictures of Kirby's Grand entrance!
